If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure where to start… you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to figure it out on your own, either.
At Gain OT, we know that things like regulation, fatigue, stress, shutdowns, or feeling "too much" or "not enough" aren't just clinical ideas — they’re everyday experiences that affect how we show up, connect, and cope.
That’s why we’ve created a space where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface — at your own pace, in your own way.
Samantha Crane is a registered Occupational Therapist and Director of Gain OT, passionate about sensory processing, regulation, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
She founded Gain OT to bridge the gap between current research, real-world needs, and lived experience, particularly for those navigating overwhelm, sensory differences, chronic illness, or burnout.
Samantha’s approach centres around helping people understand their nervous system, sensory preferences, and regulation rhythms, using evidence-based frameworks grounded in neuroscience, interoception, and the adaptive brain.
Her philosophy is support should adapt to the person, not the other way around. This belief guides how Gain OT delivers every assessment, resource, and consultation, with clarity, compassion, and practicality.
Samantha works with individuals, families, educators, and organisations to build environments that support participation, wellbeing, and regulation, without pushing people to mask, perform, or simply “manage” in systems that don’t meet their needs.
At Gain OT, we partner with teams to embed sensory-aware, regulation-supportive practices into everyday routines, environments, and systems. Our approach focuses on building capacity, not adding complexity.
We understand that when people feel safe and supported in their environments — whether they’re children or adults — they’re more able to engage, learn, connect, and participate.
We support your team with:
Understand how sensory processing, regulation, and stress responses impact participation and behaviour
Recognise nervous system cues and build supportive rhythms into your day
Adjust environments, routines, and expectations to reduce overwhelm
Develop inclusive strategies that meet the needs of both children and staff
Plan with clarity, compassion, and research-aligned tools
Our consultancy services are tailored, evidence-informed, and designed to work within your unique context so your support systems grow stronger from the inside out.
